Prof. Amir Mohammad Nasrullah, a Professor of Public Administration, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Management Studies from Brunel Business School, Brunel University London, The UK. Earlier he received his Master of Social Science (MSS) degree with Honors in Public Administration from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Professor Nasrullah regularly teaches various courses on the broader field of governance, public administration and management including issues and theories of Public Administration, Rural Development, Local Government, Public Policy, Environmental Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Public and Non-Profit Management, Project Management, Total Quality Management, Organizational Behavior, and Human Resource Management, etc. Professor Amir Nasrullah has published five books, including Rethinking Development in South Asia: Issues, Perspective and Practices, (Co-edited), published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing, London, The UK. He presented many research papers at different national and international conferences. Consequently, he has contributed more than 40 scholarly articles and book chapters published by different publishers, such as Cambridge Scholars, Routledge, McMillan, Serials, UPL etc. Dr. Amir’s current research work is on “Fighting with the New Normal Post COVID 19 World: A Study on the Governance Challenges in Bangladesh” under the Chittagong University Research and Publication Cell. His recently finished research work (Worked as a Team member) is “Assessing Risks in the City of Chittagong, Bangladesh using the Climate and Ocean Risk Vulnerability Index (CORVI)” in collaboration with Independent University, Bangladesh, the Ocean Policy Research Institute (OPRI) of the Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Tokyo, Japan, and the Stimson Center, Washington DC, USA. Dr. Amir is associated with many national and international organizations such as the British Academy of Management (BAM), London; International Council for Small Business (ICSB), George Washington University, USA; South Asian Network for Governance Studies (SANGS); Bangladesh British Alumni Network (BBAN); South Asian Network for Public Administration (SANPA); The Asiatic Society of Bangladesh; Centre for Environment and Sustainability (CES), Salam Islam Foundation (SIF) etc. He is also a trustee of Bandarban University; member of Board of Advanced Studies, Chittagong University; member of Academic Council of Southern University, Bandarban University, and Britania University etc. Professor Amir Nasrullah regularly supervises M.Phil. and Ph.D. research and serves as an external examiner of many universities at the Ph.D. level. He also serves as a guest faculty member at different universities in Bangladesh, as well as, a trainer at many government centres such as Public Administration Training Centre (PATC), Bangladesh Avademy for Rural Development (BARD), Bangladesh Institute of Administration and Management (BIAM), Engineering Academy, and Bankers Club Chittagong etc.
