About

Dr. Kamakshi Maheshwari, working as Asst. Prof in Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, Gwalior. She had PhD on the research topic “Development and Management of Heritage Tourism in Gwalior Region”, Jiwaji University. She is the Nodal officer of Central Nodal Agency – Rural Tourism and Rural Homestay and Central Nodal Agency – Adventure Tourism under Ministry of Tourism Government of India. She is the Ex- Governing Council Member of INTACH since 2009 and the president of WICCI Rural Tourism Council (M.P.). She is coordinating in many prestigious projects of Government of India like Swachhta Action Plan, Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat, Incredible India Tourist Facilitator and many more. She has been awarded as Outstanding Young Person of India by JCI in 2021. She is a LIMCA book award holder in 2008, 2010 and 2012.
